Square Enix has come along way back on SSB4. From only Cloud, 1 stage and 2 songs. With the inclusion of both Cloud, Sephiroth and Thew Dragon Quest Heroes. Square Enix have a lot of content to reflect it's most epic games

After waiting almost 4 months for next fighter in Super Smash Bros Ultimate Fighters Pass 2. The 5th, the second last fighter has finally been revealed in E3 2021. It is non-other than Kazyua Mishima for the Tekken game series!

Yep Bandai Namco has finally has another rep other than Pac-Man. And a muted well deserved rep since they helped developed Super Smash Bros WiiU/3DS as well as continuing helping with SSBU

Kazyua from Tekken not only represents another iconic fighting game rep for Smash much like Ryu & Ken from Street Fighter and Terry from Fatal Fury and King of Fighters games.

But also Kazyua is another villain rep for SSBU. That's right after Kazuya managed to get his revenge by defeating his evil father, Heihachi in Tekken 1. Instead of ending his father's evil tyranny Kazyua decided to be in control of Heihachi's empire. So a hero that eventually became the villain.

Sakurai revealed that he will be doing another Sakurai Direct to showcase the new DLC Fighter Kazyua on the 28th June 2021 so keep an eye ion that date

In the trailer Kazyua's devil form will be a part of his moveset. So who would win? Sephiroth the evil fallen one-winged angel or Kazuya in his level form? Angels vs demons

We are at the endgame now fellow Smashers! Just ONE more to be revealed to end Fighter Pass 2. Unless Sakurai and Nintendo reveals a Fighter Pass 3, but let's give Sakurai a break and hope the last fighter ends with a bang!

After waiting 531 days since the last official Nintendo Direct (minus Mini, Indie and specific franchise Directs) today in we have the return of Nintendo Directs.

And starting off this Direct we have the reveal of just not Prya, but also Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

(Yes, yes. More anime swordsmen in Smash, get over it)

Pyra and Mythra take up numbers 79 & 80 respectively. And they bring back the switching mechanic between two characters, just like Zelda switching to Sheik back in the Melee and Brawl times. And just like Pokemon Trainer in SSBU, switching between characters is very fast. So no need to worry about being far away from your opponents in order to switch between the girls to try and confuse your opponents with a different character

Anyone who played Xenoblade Chronicles 2 would recognise that Pyra and Mythra Special Moves consist of the Driver Arts attacks from the games. Where Rex or any other of the Drivers would do a Driver Attack, they give the weapons to the Blade (e.g. Rex would give Pyra/Mythra their sword) and they would deliver the attack

And speaking of Rex, Rex's Mii Costume from early DLC for SSBU is what probably stopped him from becoming a fighter ,just like Springman having a Assist Trophy and Mii Costume in the game and that's why Min Min became the Arms Fighter, so the same happened with Rex and Pyra/Mythra became the Fighters. But Rex still appears in both Pyra/Mythra's Final Smash. And by the looks of it, when Pyra/Mythra Taunt, Rex also appears. Similar to Morgana with Joker and Slime with the Dragon Quest Heroes.

In all honesty, I'm happy. With Link in his Breath of the Wild incarnation. Min Min representing Arms, Pyra/Mythra representing Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I feel like their is enough characters in SSBU representing the Nintendo Switch in it's early days (with the addition of Byleth from. Fire Emblem: 3 Houses as good measure)

What are your thoughts of Pyra/Mythra joining Smash. You think games from the Nintendo Switch era are well represented or do you want more characters that came in the Nintendo Switch era to be in SSBU?

Today in a Sakurai Direct. Sakurai showed how to play as Sephiroth and all the type of gimmicks this threatening villain is able to do

Judging on how Sephiroth is portrayed, Sephiroth is defiantly a technical character. Mindlessly button-mashing can not be a reliable tactic. You need to think, strategize and know exactly where and when to attack your opponents on how two use this dastardly villain to your advantage

Unfortunately we can not play as Sephiroth right now, but he should be released around 22nd December 2020. But until then we can FIGHT against Sephiroth as CPU Boss right now until his release date comes. So this will give you some preparation and anticipation on how to fight against Sephiroth players when they wish to main him

What are your thoughts Sephiroth joining Smash? It defiantly is exciting because it's not only another Square Enix character, but another Final Fantasy VII character. A DLC character from an already existing franchise in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, like Byleth but better since Sephiroth is from a 3rd Party developer. Does this give you hope that character like maybe Dr. Eggman from Sonic the Hedgehog may hopefully join SSBU?

After 4 long months from the reveal of Min Min. We finally have DLC Fighter Number 7. Which is none other than

Steve from Minecraft!

The best selling video-game of all time has a fighter to represent the series is now in Smash!

And similar to the Dragon Quest Heroes, more fighters comes as alts for Steve. And they are none other than Alex, a Zombie and an Enderman

With Steve and Minecraft in Smash, fans can rest easy knowing that 3rd Party characters are still on the table for the Fighters Pass Volume 2! So here's hoping to characters like Crash Bandicoot and Sora to the fight.

And if you think about it. Steve is kind've of an Indie-rep before Microsoft bought Minecraft. So does that mean no other Indie-reps could be in Smash?

Steve may not be available to play as of now, but tune in on the 3rd of October where Sakurai presents how our crafty block-man will fight against other gaming icons in Smash Bros
