SSBASBR: C-24 Hidden Powers of Subspace

*Back on the Floating Prism Stage*

Everyone’s attention was still drawn to the two blue spherical energies that blinded them from some of the civilians from the Pokemon universe.

One had Lucario while the other got a hold on Red and his Charizard. Squirtle and Ivysaur were still close by, wondering what is happening to their close friends.

The ball of energy that held Lucario made a large noise and was the first to reveal the said blue jackal who let a war-cry.

But something peculiar happened.

Lucario’s appearance had changed. His

yellow fur becomes longer replacing his once blue sleek tail into a cream yellow one, and its thighs slim down.

You could feel his aura has grown stronger from his transformation.

The occupants then heard another bursting sound and a mighty roar before they immediately faced where Red and Charizard are and were surprised on what they saw.

If they thought Lucario’s transformation was impressive, then Charizard’s new look was completely astonishing.

Charizard’s once sunburn orange skin was now charcoal black, it may still be the same size, but

becomes visibly more bulky than its normal form.

The dragon-like creature visibly and constantly

breathes blue flames out the sides of its mouth, and the flame on its tail now burns blue.

The Smashers, the All-Stars, The Ancient Hands and even Crystal-Tabuu stood where they were and stunned to what just happened to the strange creatures that bonded with the crystals that were once used by Poly-Tabuu to control others.

But none were as shocked as Red. The poor Pokemon Trainer had to step away from Charizard because of the new intense heat that was emitting from his new appearance.

Red kept switching his gaze from Lucario and Charizard, still lost for words, until they found his mouth again.

“Charizard…Lucario…Did you…Did you evolve again?”

It was the only explanation the Pokemon Trainer could think of, despite he travelled to Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh.

And just like any Pokemon Trainer that sees a new Pokemon or if there’s supposedly evolve, he pulled out his Poke Dex and scanned Lucario first.

But the screen begun flashing red and the screen showed the word ‘error’ on it in white capital letters.

“Error. Error. Scanning signatures indicate that this Pokemon is a Lucario, but Pokemon’s physical appearance doesn’t match the data of a Lucario.

Possibility Lucario’s evolved form has just been discovered, or Poke Dex is malfunctioning. Please take me to you nearest Pokemon Professor for check-up,”

The small robotic voice in the device declared.

Red was surprised now, Lucario’s new look isn’t recorded in the Poke Dex?

The young teen changed his position and tried to scan Charizard, only to have the light flash red and have the screen read ‘error’ again.

“Error. Error. Scanning signatures indicate that this Pokemon is a Charizard, but Pokemon’s physical appearance doesn’t match the data of a Charizard.

Impossibility of this Pokemon being an evolved of Charizard as Charizard is the final evolved form of the Charmander line.

Also, Type Analysis indicate that the Pokemon being scanned is a Fire/Dragon Type. No such type is recorded in data.

Please take me to your nearest Pokemon Professor for a check up.”

Red ignored the last part when his mind was trying to process that his Charizard was a Fire/Dragon Type as most people believed, until they learn about Charizard.

“This has been very amusing and all…”

Red and the heroes whipped their attention back to Crystal-Tabuu, who was now focused back on his main goal.

“…With the creatures gaining a new look from the Subspace shards the Polygon-Man used to enslave the others…” The subspace deity continued before pausing again.

“…But unfortunately I won’t give you the chance to try them out,”

Crystal-Tabuu still had his gold chain of light in his hands and firmly spread it out in a firm horizontal line.

“Prepare to be destroyed!” He declared before releasing one hand from his weapon before waving it back to attack the fighters once more.

The Smashers, All-Stars and Master and Crazy Hand were ready to dodge again, until a strange figure appeared out of thin air, in front of Crystal-Tabuu while he was getting ready to flick his whip.

Before Crystal-Tabuu could attack the group of heroes, the mysterious being got his head close to the enemy’s head and made a flash of bright light appear, blinding Crystal-Tabuu and also dissolving his neon whip to nothing.

“AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHH!” Crystal-Tabuu screamed in agony, now covering his eyes with his hands trying to bring his vision back. But also his mind, seemed to hurt as well and began to feel nauseas.

The strange being then disappeared only to reappear alongside them.

“Disable and Teleport,” Red said silently to himself, recognizing the moves and then looked at the being that just helped him.

He wasn’t the only one, all the heroes were examining the being with their eyes and couldn’t help that he looked familiar.

The body structure and the colours were very familiar.

But his small body and his purple bulbous

Digits on its hands and feet weren’t recognizable features.

But the eyes and appendage the back of it’s head is what caught their attention, especially with Red and the Smashers that competed in the Melee Tournament.

The new being’s

long, purple appendage with a curled tip from the back of its head was similar to a tail they’ve seen before.

And the eyes. The size of the eyes were a bit large and their colour was red, but they can’t help feel they’ve scene that stern, but yet neutral look.

Then in gasped shocks they’ve realised who this creature could be, but they weren’t sure.

With his courage and curiosity got the best of him, Young Link slowly and cautiously walked up to the being’s left side.

“Mew…Mewtwo?” The young Hylian asked.

The figure slowly turned to face him and when their eyes locked on. His eyes looked upset and also he formed a weak smile.

“It is me child. Please, do not fear me. I have seen the errors of my mistakes and I am truly sorry for them,”

Mewtwo looked back at the Smashers but giving longer glances at Roy and Pichu, also noticing Dr. Mario wasn‘t around but Mario had his cloak, before facing Young Link once more.

“Where is Dr. Mario? Why does Mario have his clock?”

The Psychic Type questioned, but this made Young Link upset and made him look away from him.

“Mewtwo…Crystal-Tabuu…He killed him… Dr. Mario was protecting Mario when it happened,”

Mewtwo immediately dropped the thought of Poly-Tabuu’s new name when Young Link mentioned his comrades death.

“Young Link…”

Mewtwo gently said as his purple bulbous fingers to cup Young Link's chin to make the boy face him

“I’m truly sorry for a friends untimely death, I feel deeply responsible of this. And as much as I want to beg for your forgiveness and as well as the others, And especially Mario’s, but right now we need to put all our focus into destroying Crystal-Tabuu once and for all,”

The human cat-like creature claimed and received a nod from before the young Hylian lunged himself at the Pokemon, surprising him in a hug.

Mewtwo made a quick note how small his new form is. Granted he was still taller than the boy, as his original form use to tower over him.

“I knew there was still good left inside you,”

The young Hylian mumbled loud enough to Mewtwo hear, before he quickly let him go. And gave him another quick look and realised the shard in Mewtwo’s chest was gone. In fact, all the crystals the Pokemon citizens had in their possessions were all gone.

Mewtwo only lightly smiled before giving his full attention back to Crystal-Tabuu who had recovered.

To say Crystal-Tabuu was mad was an understatment.

He was completely furious.

The crystalline deity was taking deep frustrating breathes, but they only seemed to be building is up his already pent-up rage. His red eyes were glowing intensely as if they were trying to pierce right through to you. More specifically at Mewtwo.

“YOU’LL REGRET THAT!”

He roared and positioned his arms to summon out his neon-gold-chain once more to use, only to realise his weapon won’t respond to his command.

After trying again and getting the same results, it was clear that Crystal-Tabuu was annoyed.

“WHAT‘S GOIN ON!”

“I performed one of my attacks on you. It’s called Disable. It prevents you from using any one of your moves, but with a lot of psychic training, I was able to block off any move I choose, and I choose that you will be unable to use your whip,”

A calm message by telepathy was voiced in Crystal-Tabuu’s head, the enemy examined the crowd of heroes and saw his attacker. The enemy sensed the weird creature’s energy and it was strong yet familiar and one name could only came to his mind.

“Mewtwo,”

Crystal-Tabuu’s glare intensified and with one mighty flap from his wings they begun to glow blue.

“You may have prevented me from using my whip, but what you should’ve feared are my wings! IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO MEET WITH YOUR DEMISE!”

“NOT IN OUR WATCH! BROTHER NOW!”

Bellowed Master Hand, before he and Crazy Hand formed a fist and sped towards the subspace enemy.

Crystal-Tabuu saw the incoming attack and only scoffed.

“You never learn do you,” he stated not questioned

Before stopping his charging attack and morphed into a giant purple crystalline arrow head and zoomed to the Ancient Creator and Destroyer.

As Crystal-Tabuu got close he quickly turned on his flat side when he was between Master and Crazy Hand successfully his sharp blades dug deep and cut between sides the web of thumbs (the space between the thumb and index finger) of the two giant hand’s body.

Light blue blood poured out from them before the two brother hands plummeted to the ground and landed their backs, increasing the pain they are already in.

The Smashers and All-Stars are appalled. The two deity hands were their best chance in destroying Crystal-Tabuu.

All of them almost gave up hope then and there until the two hands slowly moved.

“…Fi…Fighters…” Gasped out Master Hand.

“Since we…absorbed back…Polygon-Man’s consciousness, we also absorbed…one certain power he learned…during his isolation. And that power is to open subspace portals… into the outer worlds universe…And I will use that power…to create wormholes…to the ones I can sense now,”

Sparks of energy came out of Master Hands finger tips and shot up towards the subspace sky. Since they were between the border-line of both dimensions that were blue and purple respectively, each energy blasts formed a subspace tunnel. Opening up to either a Smasher or All-Star’s home universe.

“And since we…”

Crazy Hand began to speak.

“We absorbed the energy… that was still within Polygon-Man…I will grant you…a temporary infinite power…that you could use…to defeat our enemy…Use the wormholes to…summon your full strength…Or release the strength that…resides in you,”

Similar energy burst erupted from Crazy Hand’s finger tips the same way it did with Master Hand, but this time the energy made it’s way to the fighters and merged with the fighters without question.

The Smashers and All-Stars begun glowing the aura from the energy that fuzed with them showed around their bodies.

“Defeat Crystal-Tabuu together and bring peace and balance to both dimensions,”

With the remaining energy they had left they spoke in usion before going unconscious in exhaustion.

“Pitiful…With the power they had together, they could’ve defeated me themselves. No matter,”

Crystal-Tabuu finished his spiteful sentence before he made his wings glow blue once more.

“Now, where were we?”

He smirked, finally about to destroy the fighters that were trying to protect both dimensions once and for all.

The glowing Smashers and All-Stars didn’t know what to do.

They wanted to use the power Crazy Hand gave to them, but they didn’t know how to unlock it and the fighters began to stress.

A certain green and blue plumber remembered what Crazy Hand said, “Summon your full strength…Or release the strength that…resides in you,”

He didn’t fully understand what that meant, but out of panic, Luigi charged his attack and launched himself at the subspace deity like a rocket.

“LUIGI! NO!”

Mario yelled seeing his brother getting closer to Crystal-Tabuu.
